Abstract

The article explores the psychological and social dimensions of eyebrow restoration, considering aesthetic procedures as a vital part of identity reconstruction following trauma. The aim of the study is to examine the role of aesthetic procedures in restoring eyebrows after injury as a crucial component of psychological rehabilitation and social integration. The study employed general scientific methods of cognition, including analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, comparison, and observation. Research findings indicate that aesthetic procedures for eyebrow restoration after trauma involve both surgical and non-surgical approaches, each varying in invasiveness and effectiveness. Surgical interventions include soft tissue reconstruction, hair transplantation, and, in extreme cases, full facial transplantation. Non-surgical methods – such as micropigmentation, cosmetic makeup, and laser therapy – offer less invasive alternatives that can produce both temporary and long-lasting results in restoring the appearance of the eyebrows. The choice of method depends on the extent of the injury, the patient’s overall health, and their expectations. Aesthetic restoration is viewed not only as an external correction but also as a key element in the comprehensive reconstruction of the face. From psychological and social perspectives, the restoration of eyebrows significantly affects the quality of life for trauma survivors. The study highlights the crucial role of eyebrows in facial expressiveness, nonverbal communication, and the formation of personal identity. It concludes that aesthetic restoration of the eyebrows contributes to strengthening self-image, reducing body shame, improving self-esteem, and enhancing emotional balance. Socially, such procedures improve integration into society, reduce anxiety in interpersonal interactions, and promote social engagement. In this way, aesthetic interventions serve a therapeutic purpose, supporting physical, psychological, and social healing after traumatic experiences. The practical value of the study lies in the potential application of its conclusions to the development of comprehensive psychological and social rehabilitation programs for post-traumatic patients, with consideration of aesthetic factors.
