Original manuscripts that meet the requirements of the “Guidelines for Authors,” have not been previously published in other editions, and have not been simultaneously submitted to other journals, are accepted for publication.
Manuscripts should be prepared in Ukrainian and/or English and must align with the program goals and thematic focus of the European Journal of Interdisciplinary Issues.
Articles for publication should be submitted electronically to the email address or through the website along with all necessary accompanying documents and information specified in the “Guidelines for Authors.”
Authors bear personal responsibility for the content of their articles and undertake to:
– submit exclusively original manuscripts that have not been published in other scientific journals and have not been previously (simultaneously) submitted to other editors;
– provide only reliable results of their research;
– ensure the independence and originality of the results of their scientific research presented in the manuscript;
– provide the necessary bibliographic references with comprehensive information when using information from other authors’ publications;
– acknowledge the contributions of all individuals who influenced the course of the research and the nature of the presented work;
– guarantee that co-authors are familiar with the final version of the manuscript and have approved its submission for publication.
The responsible editor checks the article for the following:
– compliance with the “Guidelines for Authors”;
– academic integrity, explicitly checking for similarities (identity and/or similarity) in submitted articles using StrikePlagiarism.com.
Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements are not accepted for further consideration, and the responsible editor informs the authors of this decision.
Articles recommended for publication by the editorial board are edited, proofread, and undergo technical formatting.
POLICY OF COMPLIANCE WITH PUBLICATION ETHICS
The European Journal of Interdisciplinary Issues’ relationships between authors, editorial board members, and reviewers are based on principles of academic integrity, objectivity in reviewing, and the priority of scientific quality. The editorial board adheres to the principles of the “Code of Conduct and Best Practices for Journal Editors,” developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The implementation of publication ethics by the editorial board includes the following aspects:
– adherence to copyright and related rights legislation;
– control over proper referencing of information sources when using the ideas, developments, assertions, and data of other authors;
– presentation of reliable information about the methodology and results of research, as well as the sources of used data;
– objective evaluation of the scientific results of the conducted research;
– responsibility for the accuracy of the publication’s content (facts, quotes, names, and other data) lies with the authors of the publications.
If violations of academic integrity are found in submitted manuscripts, they will not be considered further, and the authors will be informed. Authors must also disclose potential conflicts of interest that could affect the evaluation, interpretation, and review of research results.
Duties of the editorial board:
– applying all possible measures to ensure adherence to ethical norms in scientific publications;
– making publication decisions based on the value, originality, and reader interest of the articles and their relevance to the journal’s subject matter, regardless of the personal characteristics of the authors;
– preventing potential conflicts of interest that may influence the judgments and conclusions of reviewers;
– ensuring the independence and confidentiality of reviewers in the review process of submitted materials;
– promptly responding to claims regarding published materials and taking all necessary measures to restore violated copyright.
Information about potential conflicts of interest is not disclosed or published without the prior permission of the authors and the chief editor.
PROCEDURE FOR WITHDRAWING A PUBLISHED ARTICLE
The retraction of an article is a mechanism for correcting the content and volume of published materials on the journal’s website and informing readers about it. The retraction process can be initiated by an author, reader, or editorial board member.
The grounds for article retraction include the following:
– establishing that the article was previously published in another publication;
– detection of data fabrication or falsification in the research;
– identification of significant errors in the article that led to the distortion of scientific novelty or obtained results;
– discovery of a co-author in the article who does not meet the journal’s authorship requirements;
– existence of a conflict of interest or other violations of publication ethics;
– identification of an author in the article who is associated with an aggressor country.
The retraction process can be initiated by the editor-in-chief or at the official request of an author who desires to retract their article.
Suppose the corresponding author or team of authors wishes to retract their article. In that case, they must email the editorial office requesting a retraction and explaining the circumstances of their decision. After reviewing such a request, if the editorial board agrees to the retraction, they conduct the retraction procedure.
The editorial board can also retract a published article based on the results of an expert review or additional information from external sources that justify the need for retraction. In this case, the editorial office sends an official letter to the corresponding author explaining the reasons for the retraction and formalises it with an appropriate editorial board protocol.
Upon completion of the retraction process, the article remains on the journal’s website but is marked as “RETRACTED” with the corresponding retraction date.
Information about the article retraction is also posted on the journal’s website.
