The European Journal of Interdisciplinary Issues is an open-access journal and does not earn revenue from subscriptions or the sale of articles. To ensure free and permanent reader access to published material, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC), paid by the authors or by the institutions funding the research.

The standard APC is EUR 100 per accepted article. A reduced rate of EUR 50 applies to authors from Ukraine, as well as from lower-middle-income countries and least developed countries.

The charge is levied only after a positive peer-review decision — that is, once the article has been accepted for publication. Submission, consideration, and review of a manuscript are free of charge; no additional submission fees apply. The amount does not depend on the length of the article and does not influence editorial decisions: review and decision-making are carried out independently of the authors' ability to pay the APC.

The charge covers editorial and publishing costs, including: organising peer review, scholarly and technical editing, proofreading and typesetting, the assignment of a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), the hosting and long-term archival storage of the article, and support for indexing in scientometric databases and library catalogues.

Upon a justified request, the editors may consider a partial or full fee waiver — in particular for early-career researchers or in exceptional circumstances. Such decisions are made on an individual basis and do not affect the outcome of peer review.

Payment details are provided to the author in the official letter confirming acceptance of the article for publication.
